I didn't plan to become an interior designer. In 2012, I took a
junior position at a design studio in Prague — honestly, I
thought it'd be temporary. But something clicked. I loved
watching spaces transform. I loved seeing people's faces when
they realized their apartment could actually feel like home.
What really shaped my career was working within constraints.
Renters face real limitations. You can't knock down walls. You
can't repaint. You've got a landlord to answer to. For years, I
watched designers ignore these realities. They'd suggest
expensive renovations or permanent changes that just weren't
possible. That frustrated me.
So I focused on what actually works in rental spaces. Throw
pillows. Candles. Vases. Lighting. Textiles. These aren't
afterthoughts — they're the foundation of a cozy home. I studied
Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech
Technical University in Prague, and later completed a
postgraduate certification in Sustainable Home Décor from Brno
University of Technology. But honestly, the real education came
from working with actual clients.

In 2019, I moved to Pardubice. The rental market here is booming
— young professionals, students, families in transition. They're
living in spaces that feel temporary because that's all the
options they have. But I saw an opportunity. I started working
with renters directly, helping them understand how thoughtful
styling improves mental wellbeing. How a few carefully chosen
pieces can change the entire atmosphere of a room. How you don't
need to wait for "your own place" to make your current space
beautiful.
That's what brought me to laurelhr s.r.o. Here, I get to share
what I've learned with hundreds of people. We're not selling
expensive design services. We're teaching practical,
budget-conscious strategies that actually work in real rental
apartments. That's the work I'm genuinely excited about.
